NaBloPoMo-April 1

April Fool

So what we have here is my first attempt at NaBloPoMo.  What the??  Well you see, there's this thing....NaBloPoMo....and I'm doing it.  No, no, really it's a thing....I don't need medical attention.  It means:  National Blog Posting Month.   It is something that happens every month now.  It is a challenge for bloggers to blog (write) daily.  The theme for this month is "Fresh".  Fresh as the snow that is falling on this fine spring day.  WTF!!!

It is only the first day, but I'm already worried that I won't have anything to say for the next 29 days.  I know this may come as a shock to people who know me.  But I'm shy, and sensitive about my Sh*t.  Makes me think about the writing course I took many, many, many years ago (based on the Natalie Goldberg book, Writing Down the Bones) that asked you to just write down everything.  It scared me then; it scares me now.

So, this will indeed be a challenge.  But for help, BlogHer does have a daily writing prompt if one needs some ideas for writing.  I think as this is my first month trying this, I will be looking at the daily prompts.  But today, I think I've got a handle on it.   Why I'm already on my third paragraph. (oh dear...next thing  you know she'll be counting the words)  Please note:  There are no minimum or maximum words per post.  

So the more I aimlessly type, the more I wonder why the hell I started this.  Perhaps inspiration will strike....or I will be the April Fool. 

Perhaps my dear Cordelia will inspire me.....hmmm she might be on to something.
